What does it mean to be

a 3000+ hour Canadian trained therapeutic manual therapist

Ramesh graduated from Utopia Academy (Vancouver, British Columbia) and earned his Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) designation in 2012. He received his RMT professional license from the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia (CMTBC) following 3000 hours of practice and rigorous clinical examinations.

Being trained in British Columbia means that massage therapy is overseen by a regulatory body as a health profession.

Similar to physicians, psychologists, and occupational therapists, RMT’s have to adhere to a strict Standard of Practice regarding things like code of ethics.

Advanced medical knowledge and training:

Canadian massage therapists are among the highest trained in the world: to be qualified requires far more school and clinical hours than California's curriculum.

Since RMTs are regulated, the curriculum is highly focused on anatomy & physiology with an emphasis on pathology and rehabilitation as well as over 800 hours of in clinic supervision to help refine exemplary manual skills.  Ramesh has continued his education since then and his focus has been hundreds of hours on evidence-based courses.

He is currently a second year student at the Canadian School of Osteopathy.

Ramesh's practice is enriched by his collaborations with a diverse cadre of skilled practitioners.
